Responsibility of collection: Toulouse Metropolis ensures the management of waste produced by households and assimilated in its territory. Two directions of the city oversee the waste collection: - La direction des déchets et moyens techniques (Waste direction and technical means) for almost all household and similar waste. - La direction des Pôles de proximité (Proximity Pole Direction) for bulky waste collection and green waste in some municipalities including Toulouse. Toulouse Métropole transferred its processing power to the union DECOSET. However, it has temporarily retained the management of certain installations treatment: a sorting center, a composter, a transfer station, 7 waste disposal centers. Waste collection: - Dry recyclables: door-to-door collection & bring points (City centre of Toulouse). Dry recyclables are all plastic packaging, paper and cardboard, metal packaging and composite. - Glass: bring points & door-to-door collection (only for 10 municipalities) - Carboard: single collected in civic amenity sites - Mixed residual waste: door-to-door collection & bring points (City centre of Blagnac)
